Amazing Spider-Man: The 8 Deaths of Spider-Man #[nn]
Part of Marvel's "8 Deaths of Spider-Man" event, this issue puts Peter Parker in a genuinely daunting spot — the cover shows Spider-Man swinging forward through a New York cityscape while restrained by barbed wire, with a towering, imperious Doctor Doom looming over the skyline behind him, mechanical arms spread wide and golden medallion gleaming. Ed McGuinness's pencils and inks give both figures tremendous presence, and Marcio Menyz's cool green palette washing over Doom's imposing form creates a stark contrast with Spidey's warm red-and-blue. It's a striking setup that makes the series' ambitious title feel entirely earned.
