Amber Atoms #4 from Image Comics puts its red-haired, yellow-suited heroine front and center as she fights back against a mass of massive, coiling mechanical tentacles that fill the entire background with menacing orange-and-black energy. Fists raised and expression fierce, she looks like someone who absolutely refuses to be swallowed whole — a vivid piece of cover work by Kelly Yates, whose line art and inks give the scene a kinetic, almost overwhelming sense of scale.
