Animal Man #1

May 2012 · ECC Ediciones · 13.95 EUR

This Spanish-language edition from ECC Ediciones launches DC's New 52 *Animal Man* series with a cover by Travel Foreman that's genuinely hard to look away from — a bloodied, hollow-eyed Buddy Baker stands engulfed in twisting red tendrils, while an elephant, giraffe, and lion gather at his feet in an unsettling tableau. The yellowed background and organic, visceral linework give the whole image a raw, almost biological unease that sets the tone perfectly. Jeff Lemire and Travel Foreman's collaboration promises something wilder and stranger than your average superhero book, and this 2012 issue is where it all begins for Spanish-speaking readers.
