An anthology featuring two Western stories: "The Devil Horns In," in which deputies Pete Carmody and Pancho Zapata pursue a fugitive who has stolen eight thousand dollars, only to discover that the outlaw Pete Willard has been murdered by a mountain lion, and Sheriff Tom White must prevent the real killer from escaping with the stolen money. "Claim Jumpers' Curse" follows Tonopah, a Native American warrior admired by his tribe, who is manipulated into committing murders by a curse involving ritual objects, leading to the destruction of his reputation and ultimately his demise at the hands of those he trusted.
