“Campers' Capers”

In "Campers' Capers," Archie recounts his summer as a camp counselor through a series of humorous flashbacks triggered by his photos. When he tries to snap a picture of a nighttime animal with a trip wire, the prank backfires spectacularly—Mr. Weatherbee ends up in the lake, tangled in the wire and still in his pajamas. Written and drawn by Joe Edwards, with inks and letters by Jon D'Agostino, this 1967 comic captures classic Archie charm in a lighthearted, photo-driven gag strip.

While showing photos of his experience as a camp counselor, Archie remembers the stories leading to the pictures and each photo is used as a punch line for the story. Thinking he can get a photo of an animal during the night, Archie sets up a trip wire to his camera, but Mr. Weatherbee trips it and falls into the lake in his pajamas.
