“The Renting Agent”

In "The Renting Agent," Archie's misadventures take a wild turn when a stray basketball and a camera flash set off a chain of misunderstandings. When Reggie pulls a prank by hanging Archie’s clothes on a sandbag above the girls’ gym, Betty’s attempt to retrieve them from the balcony sends Archie into a panic—leading to a moment of genuine alarm that tests his friendship with Betty in the most unexpected way. Art by Bill Vigoda, this 1949 classic captures the humor and heart of early Archie with crisp, expressive lines and a perfectly timed gag.
