Archie Giant Series Magazine #478
In "The Christmas Caper, Part 1," Archie takes a holiday job at Uriah Scourge’s jewelry store, where his boss’s miserly ways and Scrooge-like demeanor make the season feel especially grim. As the store closes one snowy night, an unnamed man bursts in with a gun, turning the quiet evening into a tense standoff. With Stan Goldberg’s expressive art and Jon D’Agostino’s sharp inks bringing the scene to life, this 1979 issue captures the classic Archie charm with a holiday twist—perfect for fans of festive mischief and old-school comic storytelling.

It's the holiday season, and Archie is working at Uriah Scourge's jewelry store to earn some extra money. Archie's boss bears a striking resemblance to Mr. Scrooge from A Christmas Carol. He won't let Archie have time off, and is a skinflint - even donning an old ratty sweater so he can get a free meal at the local rescue mission. When he returns, he chases carolers away from his store. As Archie and his boss are closing up shop for the night, an un-named man walks into the store, flashes a gun and demands money.
