A dapper, bowler-hatted figure strides confidently across the cover, clutching a document and accompanied by a hand-cart — a fittingly restless portrait of the real-life poet, boxer, and provocateur Arthur Cravan. The swirling typography surrounding him announces his many identities: nephew of Oscar Wilde, deserter, Dada agitator, snake charmer, dandy — a life too wild for a single label. Jack Manini brings this larger-than-legend figure to the page in this 2018 Grand Angle release that reads like a carnival of contradictions.
