As the X-Men battle the Furies, Emma comes up with a plan to stop them. She jacks into the last living Fury and makes it believe that a dying Jaspers and its fellow Furies have lept to another dimension and are lost. There is, therefore, no reason for more Furies to come to Earth. N'Dingi agrees to let Mutants Without Frontiers take care of the local irradiated residents and their Warpie babies. Feeling that Jaspers is too dangerous, however, N'Dingi shoots him in the head before the X-Men can react.
