"A Victory for Venus" follows an international group of workers recruited to the Mars mines who discover they are actually pawns in a larger conflict. When a Martian guard orders one of them to execute a fellow worker, the men stage a revolt, using stolen Quaxonite cylinders as weapons to destroy the Martian supply depots and free the planet from oppressive alien rule. The story culminates in the rebels establishing themselves as masters of Mars and taking responsibility for re-educating the Martians toward a better, more moral life.
