When Atomic Mouse's nephews overhear that their uncle fears something—though they can't quite catch what—they become determined to uncover his secret weakness. Scheming cats disguise themselves as kindly old lady mice to kidnap the boys and force them to talk, but Atomic Mouse arrives just in time to turn the tables. What unfolds is a wild romp as Atomic Mouse discovers his fear was unfounded, leaving him happier than ever.
When Atomic Mouse runs out of his U-235 pills, the curious villains Count Gatto and Shadow spy on him to discover his secret—only to watch him paint a picture of atomic pills and somehow draw strength from it. Convinced they've found a shortcut to power, the scheming duo and their cohorts scramble to create their own painted pills, but Atomic Mouse has a trick up his sleeve that turns the tables on them completely.
Brave Bear spots a mysterious X on his spring calendar and assumes it marks someone's birthday, so he enlists Air Mailer to deliver invitations to all his friends—only to realize he has no idea whose party he's actually throwing! As the gang gathers at his cave, Brave Bear works backwards from who's missing to solve the puzzle, with a hilariously mistaken conclusion that leads to the real surprise.
Atomic Mouse's weakness for cheese puts him squarely in the trap of Count Gatto and Shadow, who concoct a devious scheme to catch him off-guard. When their carefully painted decoy goes awry in unexpected weather, the villains get a second chance at outsmarting the mighty mouse—but Atomic Mouse has an appetite that won't quit and a habit of eating first and asking questions later.
