The issue features two stories. In the main story, Atomic Mouse must prevent the moon from crashing into Earth by diving through molten lava and sealing off volcanoes, racing against time to save humanity from catastrophe. In the backup story, "Professor Invento's Dreamhouse," Atomic Mouse visits his friend Professor Invento and finds him exhausted from maintaining his run-down home; after the mouse offers to help with repairs, the professor begins dreaming up increasingly elaborate plans to modernize his humble dwelling. A shorter comedic sequence depicts Atomic Mouse and another character caught in chaotic mishaps involving ropes and falling from buildings.
