Atomos #20
In "Un transfert d'esprit," a desperate thug's quest for fortune in the Himalayas takes a strange turn when locals warn him against a photograph he carries—claiming it's cursed. As he wanders the frozen peaks, his mind frays, and the image begins to mirror his unraveling state, blurring the line between man and myth. Written by Stan Lee and Larry Lieber, with bold art by Jack Kirby and inks by Steve Ditko, this 1973 issue of Atomos delivers a chilling, surreal journey through isolation and transformation.

A thug ventures to the Himalayas with the intention of capturing the Abominable Snowman for profit but is frustrated in his attempts of getting the locals to refer him to the creature he has in a photograph. They all tell him to discard the photograph as it is cursed. He plods through the mountains for weeks unable to locate any trace, until his mind is addled, and he drops the photograph which is now a reasonable resemblance of what he has become.
