After a heated argument with an infantryman before his mission, a B-29 aerial gunner is shot down behind enemy lines and must survive the wilderness, relying on a patrol of American soldiers to help him reach a target bunker—only to discover that his new comrades are the very infantrymen he once looked down upon.

Using the phonograph to broadcast exaggerated praise of the enemy’s combat prowess, he triggers a psychological breakdown among the opposing forces—until the ruse is uncovered, and a tense standoff erupts.
