Matt Konture's *Head Banger Forever!?* — subtitled *La Suite de l'Autopsy d'un Mort-Vivant* — is a wonderfully unhinged entry in L'Association's catalog of boundary-pushing French alternative comics. The cover, rendered in Konture's scratchy, ink-drenched black-and-white style, erupts with a wild-haired, bug-eyed figure whose massive dreadlocks spiral outward like a creature all their own, surrounded by onlookers on what appears to be a stage or bar setting, the whole scene crackling with chaotic energy. Published in 2000, this is underground comics expression at its most gloriously feral.
