Avengers: Scarlet Witch by Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning #[nn]
Wanda Maximoff commands the cover of this 2015 Marvel collection, rendered by Marko Djurdjević in sweeping crimson as she surges forward against a backdrop of intricate occult sigils, summoning circles, and arcane diagrams — her red cape billowing and fingers crackling with barely contained power. The mystical geometry surrounding her, from compass-point inscriptions to a bold inverted triangle bearing a dark heart, gives the whole image a wonderfully ominous, spell-bound atmosphere. Written by Jeff Parker with art by Juan Santacruz, inked by Raúl Fernández, and colored by Wil Quintana, "Dark Designs" promises a story as visually charged as its striking cover.
