“L'homme de sa vie”

In "L'homme de sa vie," Corrine, back in Paris after three years away, is struck by a sudden pang of regret when she sees Leslie with another woman. A newspaper clipping from an old wedding announcement had reached her earlier, making her believe it was too late to reach out. When Leslie spots her, he claims he's in town for business and asks about her husband—she lets him believe she's married, leaving their past hanging in the air. Art by Tony Abruzzo and Bernard Sachs brings quiet emotion to this poignant moment in a 1974 French release.
