Bad Luck Chuck #2

The second issue of Dark Horse's Bad Luck Chuck leans hard into its superstition-soaked premise, with a striking cover showing our red-clad heroine lounging coolly against a cracked mirror while a black cat and a raven keep her company — the number 13 looming above it all like a neon sign for trouble. It's a wonderfully composed image, blending noir confidence with the kind of cursed-luck atmosphere that writer Lela Gwenn and artist Matthew Dow Smith are clearly having a great time building. For readers who like their protagonists draped in bad omens and good attitude, this 2019 series is shaping up to be a real find.
