Soleil's 2014 series opener plunges readers into a scorched, menacing world with a cover by Piotr Kowalski that immediately commands attention. A lone, armed young woman stands defiantly against a blazing orange sky, twin pistols at her sides and a long rifle in hand, while twisted barbed wire, crumbling ruins, and a crowd of shadowy figures loom behind her.
