Barks Library Special - Onkel Dagobert #10
“Land unter der Erdkruste”
Part of Egmont Ehapa's celebrated German-language reprint series, this 1999 volume collects Carl Barks stories — including "Land unter der Erdkruste" — rendered here with coloring by Eric Vincent and Susan Daigle-Leach and lettering by Frans Stummer. The cover, penciled and inked by Barks himself, puts Scrooge McDuck front and center in his signature red coat and top hat, arms spread wide against a warm golden backdrop as if the whole world is his for the taking. It's a handsome, well-produced package that makes Barks' work on the world's most famously frugal duck a real pleasure to revisit.
