The third issue of Sarah Gailey, Pius Bak, and Roman Titov's sharp social-horror series delivers a cover that perfectly captures its unsettling tone: three women are rendered in a fractured, shard-like composition — a smiling flight attendant holding a steaming cup on the left, a elegantly dressed bride beaming on the right, and between them a central figure screaming in blood-red, spattered and wide-eyed with sunglasses pushed up on her head. The cool, muted palette surrounding that vivid crimson centerpiece makes the contrast all the more striking, wealth and polish framing something far more raw and terrifying. BOOM! Studios continues to let this creative team lean hard into the series' darkly satirical premise.
