A landmark return to Gotham’s origins, *Batman: Year One Chapter One: Who I Am How I Came to Be* reimagines the birth of the Dark Knight with Frank Miller’s sharp storytelling and David Mazzucchelli’s iconic art, capturing Bruce Wayne’s first steps into vigilantism and Jim Gordon’s arrival in a city drowning in corruption. As both men face their first trials in a broken system, a single bat’s flight becomes a turning point in a journey that will define them both.
