Part of DC's New 52 initiative, *Batman: The Dark Knight Vol. 1: Knight Terrors* collects the opening arc of this bold 2013 reimagining, written by Paul Jenkins and David Finch with art by Finch and inks by Richard Friend. The cover — penciled by David Finch and inked by Richard Friend — thrusts Batman forward in a powerful low-angle charge, cape billowing against a fiery orange sky and Gotham's glittering skyline behind him, a batarang gripped tight and every muscle coiled with intent. It's a striking first impression for a volume that IGN called "full of blockbuster content.
