Batman: The Dark Knight #3
“Touch of Crazy”
Part of DC's New 52 initiative, *Batman: The Dark Knight Vol. 3 — Mad* collects the "Touch of Crazy" arc by writer Gregg Hurwitz, with artwork by Ethan Van Sciver. The cover, illustrated by Van Sciver, presents Batman looming large against a moonlit Gotham skyline — the Bat-signal blazing behind him, his gold utility belt catching the light as his cape fans out over the gothic architecture below. It's a confident, atmospheric image that sets the tone for the darker storytelling IGN praised Hurwitz for bringing to this series.
