Batman vs. Robin #[nn]
In "Excerpt from Robin #17," Damian faces a harrowing choice when Batman—now possessed by the demonic Nezha—begs for his help in tracking down the defeated King Fire Bull. With Nezha keeping Batman alive only by clinging to his body, Damian must decide whether to save his father or risk unleashing Nezha upon humanity. Written by Mark Waid and illustrated with striking intensity by Mahmud Asrar, this pivotal issue delivers a tense, morally charged confrontation, with Jordie Bellaire’s colors and Steve Wands’ lettering heightening the dread. The cover, a dynamic collaboration by Mahmud Asrar and Mario "Fox" Foccillo, captures the moment’s visceral stakes.

After the defeat of King Fire Bull, Damian finds that Batman is now possessed by the Devil Nezha, who wants Damian's help to track down King Fire Bull. Damian discovers that Batman is so weak, he is only being kept alive by Nezha, and if Nezha is removed from Batman's body, Batman will die. However, left unchecked, Nezha would rule all of humanity, forcing Damian to choose between saving his father or saving the lives of millions.
