Shiela Whittier se ve atacada y es herida en la cara. Sheila revela que ha sido torturada por su tío, Alestar Dunwick, el hombre que le legó su mansión. Drácula se marcha a saciar su sed y, en su ausencia, el ectoplasma de Dunwick se presenta antes Shiela y revela que es su padre y que fue asesinado por su madre cuando le cedió la mansión. Mientras moría gritó pidiendo ayuda al infierno para vengarse. Siguió viviendo pero tenía que sacrificar a Shiela cuando cumpliera veintiún años.
