“Birth of a Legend!”

In "Birth of a Legend!", Dave Donovan’s routine tonsil surgery takes a wild turn when he’s mistakenly chosen for a secret military experiment, waking up with mechanical limbs and a titanium arch—transforming him into something far beyond human. The program, partially funded by the mysterious "Crusading Crew," is already making waves, with their pulsating eighth issue now on sale. Written by Nat Gertler and brought to life by Mark Lewis’s art and Jeff Meyer’s inks, this issue blends sci-fi spectacle with a touch of absurdity, all wrapped in a cover by Lewis and Meyer.

Story of how Dave Donovan, in the hospital to have his tonsils out, instead has "ultra-strong mechanical arms, a leg, a transistorized headset, and Titanium arches" installed when he's mistaken for the hand-picked soldier intended for the experiment. The program was partly backed by "The Crusading Crew" whose "pulsating eighth issue" is "now on sale!"
