In "Lynch Mob," Billy the Kid is framed by criminals and arrested, but he escapes jail with help from a woman named Ona Morrow and her friend. Billy then travels to Spain at Ona's invitation, where he is offered a title and land if he will stay and help fight outlaws threatening the region. After five weeks, Billy decides to return home, and the story ends with him riding north on his horse.

But things get complicated when Billy finds himself torn between his loyalty to the bandits and his growing interest in the spirited Spanish noblewoman, forcing him to make a dangerous choice that puts him at odds with his fellow outlaws.

When McGraw's crew nearly kills Billy, the outlaw gunslinger decides to take on the operation that's been preying on the city's sailors and visitors, eventually working with the local police to bring the Fanner's reign of terror to an end.
