Birds of Prey #5

Three members of the Birds of Prey — Black Canary in her teal-and-blue bodysuit, a heavily tattooed gunslinger, and a black-clad figure with a red-tipped blade — surge forward through a darkened urban alley, weapons raised and an unseen threat closing in from above. The cover by David Finch and Richard Friend crackles with kinetic tension, the neon-purple atmosphere perfectly matching the issue's ominous tagline: "Mind Control… and Murder!" Writer Duane Swierczynski and artist Jesús Saiz deliver this fifth chapter of DC's New 52 Birds of Prey, and if the cover is any indication, the team has very little time to breathe.
