This anthology issue presents "The Strangest Stories Ever Told," featuring tales of supernatural curses and mysterious transformations. The main story follows office boy Jerry and two young salesmen, Sidney Dane and Ralph Hewitt, who work for old Mr. Hodges; when Jerry places a curse on Hodges after an argument, Hodges mysteriously dies, and the men's subsequent misfortunes—including a truck driver's broken leg and romantic complications—suggest the curse may be real or a product of imagination. In another tale, a woman named Peggy, separated from her sister Lisa for a year, discovers that Lisa has been transformed into something unrecognizable and inhuman, warning Peggy to leave before she too is affected by whatever dark force has claimed her sister.
