Black Magic #8 is an anthology featuring multiple supernatural tales. "M. Letoq" follows a wizard who approaches a man claiming his daughter is possessed by an evil spirit and offering a potion to drive the demon away, with the caveat that failure means losing her forever; the man later encounters the mysterious M. Letoq in Paris. "Double Destiny" tells of Governor Morgan Hanson's struggle with his conscience the night before granting a stay of execution for a murderer named Williams, only to discover that he and Williams were born on the same day and bear striking physical resemblance, leading to an ironic twist when both men die by electrocution the same night.
