The three-issue Black Panther: Blood Hunt limited series was announced as the first tie-in to spin out of the main Blood Hunt event (by Jed MacKay and Pepe Larraz), with Cheryl Lynn Eaton writing and Farid Karami on full pencils and inks — both relative newcomers to a flagship Marvel limited series. Issue #2 shipped June 19, 2024, edited by Wil Moss and with cover art by Andrea Sorrentino (who supplied covers across the run). The first issue performed well enough that artist Karami announced a second printing during the week of issue #2's release, signaling stronger-than-expected reader demand for the Wakanda-focused mythology track of Blood Hunt.
