Maggie rushes to the hospital as her father has been shot four times and is in critical condition. As she leaves with Nathan, they are accosted by demons and Maggie uses the new powers granted by the magical stone around her neck to blast them. She visits her catatonic mother to try and get some help and the gem shows her visions of mom's past, including the fact that Uncle Zhao was once her lover. Maggie confronts Zhao and accuses him of being her father but it is the demon, Azuras, who steps forward and claims to be her real dad.
