The second volume of Thierry Chavant's Blanche series carries a quietly haunting cover: a lone, shaven-headed figure sits cross-legged within the gnarled, reaching roots of an enormous tree, the warm ochre tones of the savanna surrounding them in an almost reverent stillness. Subtitled Toumaï, les savanes féroces, the issue promises a journey into wild, ancient landscapes where humanity feels both sheltered and dwarfed by nature.
