The issue features the story of Driftwood Davey, who becomes caught up in espionage and criminal schemes involving smuggled diamonds. After the FBI questions him about hidden diamonds, Davey attempts to photograph evidence but is knocked out by criminals who then pursue him. The story shifts to an underwater sequence involving a submarine, a queen, and a magical sea creature, with references to pressure chambers and the possibility of survivors from a sunken vessel. A separate story depicts a bomb plot involving time clocks rigged with dynamite and sticks of dynamite hidden in tool handles, as saboteurs attempt to destroy a plant while a guard tries to prevent the destruction.
