“Richy, the Amazing Boy”

"Richy, the Amazing Boy" introduces a young former child star who steps into the spotlight when his former costar, movie star Harly Shaplyn, becomes the target of sabotage during a film shoot mocking a foreign dictator. With detective Hy Speed injured and his wonder dog Rang-a-Tang by his side, Richy takes on the threat alone—proving his courage in a story that blends wartime intrigue with the magic of early Hollywood. Written by Joe Blair and illustrated by Ed Smalle, this 1940 adventure features dynamic artwork from the same hand behind the cover, capturing the era’s flair with bold lines and expressive energy.
