Bob Colt hunts outlaws' trail in the hills and is ambushed by unexpected gunfire, knocked unconscious by a spell. Upon reviving, he learns a mysterious rider has been seen in the area, and Bob suspects the treasury men holding someone may be wrong about his identity. The main story features "The Mysterious Black Knight of the Prairie," in which Bob must confront a villainous figure in armor who has captured a man named Pablo and threatens to take over the land, forcing Bob into a desperate rescue involving a carriage chase to stop the runaway knight.
