Part one of a four-issue DC miniseries, this 1995 series opener from writers Alan Grant and John Wagner introduces a wonderfully offbeat corner of the universe. Carlos Ezquerra's cover art — credited for both pencils and inks — throws readers straight into the chaos, depicting a grizzled, red-nosed vagrant in a battered hat wedged between a snarling, chalk-white alien with dark, hollow eyes and a cheerfully grinning blue alien creature. The sheer personality crammed into that trio promises something irreverent, funny, and just a little dangerous.
