After newspapers report the Phantoms' mysterious disappearances, Foreman Tex learns from Washington that the criminals have struck again. The story shifts to a bizarre subplot involving giant ants under a curse that grant their captors power, leading to an absurd battle sequence where the Riders must combat these enlarged insects and rescue their companions from the ant colony's grip. In the final sections, the narrative devolves into comedic Western action featuring lasso work, horseback pursuits, and physical comedy as the characters deal with spirited horses and various misadventures on the range.
When a pair of outlaws use a fake detour sign to stop a loaded bus and rob its passengers, Bobby Benson and his B-Bar-B Riders spot the ambush from above and spring into action—hijacking the bus to cut off the robbers before they can escape across the border. It's a high-speed chase that forces the riders to match wits and firepower against criminals who won't go down without a fight.
When a mysterious gang called the Plundering Phantoms begins terrorizing the Big Bend country with a string of audacious robberies, Don Pedro Garcia Hernandez hires the lightning-fast gunman known as the Lemonade Kid to protect his supposedly burglar-proof hacienda. But when the Phantoms strike at the wealthy rancher's home despite all its scientific defenses, the Lemonade Kid discovers the gang's secret to vanishing without a trace—and finds himself in a desperate chase that takes to the skies.
When a gang of horse-thieves led by Mike Tarr raids the B-Bar-B during the fall round-up, Bobby stands up to them—and pays the price by getting lashed to a wild, unbroken bronc in a death-defying punishment. The young rider has to use every bit of nerve and grit just to survive the ride, with help from his faithful horse Amigo, before he and his crew Windy Wales, Irish, and the others take on Tarr's outfit to recover their stolen stock.
