Bonanza #2
In "Der Stier der Wälder," the Cartwrights push hard to deliver lumber for the railroad, their lead threatened when rival Tom Bannerman blows up their skid road in a bid to claim the title of "bull of the woods." When the Cartwrights set up an overhead transfer rig to keep moving, Bannerman strikes again—only to be saved from a charging bear by Hoss, who extinguishes the fuse of a delayed explosion meant for him. The moment leaves Bannerman humbled, acknowledging Ben Cartwright’s true leadership.
In the shadowed depths of a forgotten cave, Bedrock Barnes stumbles upon ancient Spanish armor and, curious as ever, slips it on. When a band of stage robbers take shelter there, the sudden emergence of a ghostly armored figure—paired with the eerie braying of Bedrock’s donkey—sends them fleeing in terror. Realizing the stolen goods belong to Wells Fargo, Bedrock sets off to return them, guided by a sense of justice and the strange power of the armor he now wears.
In "Die Mustangjäger," the Cartwrights, on foot after their horses are stolen by Charro Pete's gang, strike a deal with the Rico family to buy mustangs and take young Sarita with them to Virginia City. There, they uncover a shocking mistake: Sarita’s father is about to be hanged, wrongly accused of being Charro Pete. With quick thinking and courage, Ben intervenes to stop the execution, and justice is finally served when Charro Pete is handed over to the marshal—earning the Ricos a place of honor in town.
