The first volume of Ian Fortin's Boni arrives with a cover as charming as it is playful — a wide-eyed little rabbit clutches a bright orange carrot being offered up by a large grey hand, the whole scene popping cheerfully against a sky-blue background. Published by Dupuis in 2017, this Franco-Belgian all-ages series promises lighthearted fun with its irresistible hero and that tantalizing subtitle, La Dernière Bouchée de Carotte ("The Last Bite of Carrot"). A delightful introduction to what looks like a wonderfully expressive and humor-filled comic.
