Boris, Babette et tous les squelettes #[nn]
Tanja Esch's cheerful, slightly spooky bande dessinée from Nathan features a young boy clutching a yellow dog while two lively skeletons — one sporting a witch's hat, another with rosy cheek markings — dance around him against a vivid teal background scattered with loose bones; a third, bandaged skeleton and a scowling jack-o'-lantern lurk nearby, with a small bat fluttering overhead. The playful, cartoonish art strikes a perfect balance between Halloween creepiness and kid-friendly fun, and the phosphorescent cover (noted right on the front) means the bones and skeletons glow in the dark. A wonderfully inviting 2024 entry in French children's comics that promises a lighthearted adventure with Boris, Babette, and their rattling crew.
