Boy Loves Girl #33
In "Loves of My Life, Part Four," Martha—haunted by insecurities despite her striking looks—reconnects with her neighbor Charlie after a life-altering moment at a party. After a secret transformation and a bold return, she finds that affection isn’t just about appearances, but about the quiet moments that change everything. Dick Rockwell’s expressive art brings emotional depth to this poignant 1953 romance, while Bob Fujitani’s cover captures the story’s bittersweet tension.

When Charlie accidentally kisses her during a party, Martha is embarrassed and moves away. After having plastic surgery, she returns to the apartment house. No one recognizes her but all of the men are friendly. Charlie says there was "a kiss that changed his life" earlier. Martha kisses him and admits she's the same person.
