Peggy is unhappy that she isn't allowed to do the things her brother Marty can because she's a girl. So she sets out for the North Pole to become one of Santa's helpers. When she arrives, she is relegated to helping Mrs. Claus make cookies. Then she mends a tear in Santa's jacket, saving the day for him. Santa gives Peggy a ride home in his sleigh and leaves a note on the Christmas tree thanking her for her help. Now Peggy is glad she's a girl because a boy wouldn't have been able to help Santa with his jacket.
