Jiggs encounters Maggie Darling, a woman from one of England's oldest families whom he is urged to meet as she is considered one of the great lights of high society. When Dinty Moore, a common person, begins cooking corned beef and cabbage in his apartment upstairs, Jiggs sends an agent to stop him. Maggie becomes offended at the smell and Dinty's behavior, and Jiggs attempts to charm her by singing, ultimately winning her approval with his musical performance.
