Wrong Kind of Girl
9 pp · Romance

Janet Larue, a rising Broadway performer headlining at the Calico Club, meets Dr. Glenn Havens when he rescues her after a stage accident—only to be stung by his coldness the next day when she visits his Park Avenue office. When he shows up at her rehearsal insisting she rest, Janet assumes the Park Avenue doctor sees her as beneath his social station, but Glenn reveals his real motive was simply to see her again and asks her to introduce him to her world. As they explore Broadway together, the two navigate the gulf between their vastly different lives.

Understudy's Temptation
7 pp · Romance

When a small role in a Broadway production lands Sandy Pelham in the orbit of Kirk Dodge—the dramatic coach who once doubted her talent—she finds herself cast as understudy rather than star, fueling a resentment that tempts her toward a dangerous gambit. As Sandy schemes to win the attention of her show's wealthy backer, Guy Manley (notorious for his string of marriages), she must reckon with what she's willing to sacrifice for her shot at stardom and whether Kirk's original judgment of her abilities might have been sound all along.

Flame of Passion
6 pp · Romance

Sandra Lawton, a brilliant actress whose flame has dimmed on Broadway, abandons her glamorous life and reinvents herself as Sally Lawrence, a humble office clerk—until she falls deeply for Jess Phillips, a kind-hearted office manager who helps her rediscover the passion she thought was lost. When her old producer tracks her down and tempts her with a return to stardom, Sally must choose between the bright lights of Broadway and the quiet, genuine love she's found in her new life.

Forbidden Fruit
9 pp · Romance

A young woman's hunger for a Broadway career drives her to bold—maybe reckless—lengths to catch the eye of a powerful producer, Jeffrey Horne, and her scheme actually works. As rehearsals push her to the edge and Horne's attention grows warmer, she finds herself entangled in feelings she never expected, while the people around her begin to notice far more than she'd like. Caught between her dreams and the complications of her own ambitions, she'll have to figure out what she's really willing to sacrifice.

Fame is a Trap
8 pp · Romance

Ellen Grey dreams of Broadway stardom while struggling as an actress in New York, but when she joins Mike Mitchell's earnest off-Broadway theater group, her ambition collides with an unexpected romance. When a real producer offers her a chance at professional success, Ellen must choose between the love and artistic integrity Mike represents and the fame she's chased for years. This 1950 romance explores what an ambitious heart is willing to sacrifice—and what it might cost.
