“4: [The Ripple Continues]”

In "4: [The Ripple Continues]," the world reeling from Steve Rogers’ death sees Reed Richards and Tony Stark push forward with a new Iron Man program, selecting Bucky Barnes as its next host. Meanwhile, Bruce Banner, grappling with the fallout from the Peter Parker/Hulk crisis, gains unexpected powers after a radioactive spider bite—powers that lead him to join SHIELD as a new Spider-Man. As tensions mount and the cosmic threat of Galactus and the Silver Surfer looms, the stage is set for a collision of heroes, science, and fate. Written by J. Michael Straczynski and illustrated by Tommy Lee Edwards, with a cover by Edwards, this 2007 issue marks a pivotal moment in a fractured Marvel universe.
