When the Weeper sets out to ruin Thanksgiving by orchestrating cruel schemes across the city—fake telegrams, false reports, and elaborate cons designed to break the spirits of happy families—Bulletman and Bulletgirl race to stop him. When a sinister collector known as the Waxer begins kidnapping singers around the city for a ghastly hobby involving recordings of human screams, Bulletman and Bulletgirl race to stop him before he adds the soprano Maria Martana—and Bulletgirl herself—to his gruesome wax collection. The dynamic duo must use their wits and fists to track down the madman's den and rescue his victims from a fate worse than death.

Bulletman and Bulletgirl face off against the cunning Mr. Ego, a master thief who's taken over a criminal gang and upgraded their operation from crude heists to high-value art thefts. When Mr. Ego sets his sights on stealing a priceless Stradivarius violin from a concert hall, the flying detective and his partner move in to stop him—but the arch-criminal's elaborate schemes and quick escapes keep him one step ahead. As the crime-fighter and his daring companion close in, Mr. Ego's legendary confidence in his own brilliance may be his greatest weapon—or his fatal flaw.

When an embittered inventor calling himself the Crackpot approaches a criminal gang with a series of ingenious gadgets—an open-anything tool, a mechanical hand, and more—he becomes the brains behind a string of daring robberies that put Bulletman and Bulletgirl on high alert. The flying detectives must track down the mad inventor before his increasingly dangerous contraptions cause even more havoc, but the Crackpot's schemes prove more cunning than they bargained for.
