The fourth volume of Dupuis' Bunker series — subtitled Carnages — arrives with a cover that speaks volumes: a lone figure is thrown violently backward against a smoldering orange sky, debris and dark fragments scattering around them amid what appear to be grave markers. Genzianella, Bec, and Betbeder bring a raw, cinematic weight to this 2010 installment, where even the title promises that the series isn't pulling any punches. If the tension of the earlier volumes has been building toward something, this striking image suggests the reckoning is well underway.
