Buster Brown Comic Book #33
In "Zakka's Debt," young Joseph Chatham and his family sail from their American plantation to England, where Joseph forms an unlikely bond with Zakka, a gentle giant from the Pacific Islands. When the crew mutinies and imprisons Zakka, a violent storm strikes—killing the captain and leaving the ship crippled. With the vessel tilting and no hope in sight, Joseph must convince his father to free Zakka, whose strength may be their only chance to survive. Art by Reed Crandall brings the tense voyage to life, while Ray Willner’s cover captures the drama of the sea and the towering figure of Zakka.
